Individual Behavior System

It's been a crazy first week of school but we're finally getting into the swing of our routines and academics. I went back and forth on a clip chart for kindergarteners and whether it was developmentally appropriate or not. I don't believe in singling out a student for poor behavior by moving their clip down or by making them go up and do it themselves. So I found this behavior chart on teachers pay teachers that I really liked and decided to just cut off the bottom! Now it's all positive and the students can only move up. They all start their day on 'Ready to Learn' and have the opportunity to move up throughout the day based on their choices. Students who are at the top of the chart at the end of the day get to pick a sequin to glue to their clip. Children with 3 sequins move their clip to the Hall of Fame section and receive a reward as well as a new clip.

So far it's been working well and many of the students have earned their first sequin already!

You can download your own from Primary Punch!
